Do you shy away from using photos of yourself on social media?

Does the thought of talking on video make you feel sick?

Do you struggle to find a balance between showing up and showing off?

Are you unsure of how to tell the story of your business and your brand in a visually compelling way?

Not so very long ago I would have answered YES to every single one of these questions. I would hide away for fear that people would think I was showing off, too salesy or frankly just plain dull. Given that my own business is about encouraging people to be seen, this was kind of a problem! I was being a massive hypocrite!

The truth is PEOPLE BUY PEOPLE and with so much business conducted online nowadays, it’s just not good enough to hide anymore. People want to see who they are doing business with, they want to know more about you and if you’re to stand any chance of standing out in a crowded market then choosing to BE SEEN is a must.

During this workshop I will cover key topics to help you not only feel more comfortable about being seen, but also provide you with tips & techniques to ensure when you do it, you do it well, consistently and with impact.

During the day you will learn:

How showing up & being seen can benefit your business
What great visual content & story telling looks like for you
How to take self portraits for social media that don’t make you cringe
Basic composition tips for interesting photos
Techniques for recording engaging video content
Simple but effective editing tips for both photo & video to give you a professional edge
Tricks & tips for showing up, even on the days you really don’t want to!

In addition:

We’ll get hands on with some visual mood boards & styling
Have professional headshots taken by me that reflect the real you (worth £150 & suitable for both website & social media)
Walk away with a clear action plan & strategy for your visual content
Ongoing support as part of the Let’s Get Visible Private Facebook group

We’ll also be finishing the day by setting a group challenge to keep us all accountable long after the workshop has finished!

Location

Our home for the day is the beautiful Soul School set in the Cheshire countryside just outside Knutsford. A healthy lunch and snacks will be provided, and a constant flow of hot & cold drinks available (please advice of any allergies or food preferences at time of booking).

The workshop will be limited to just 10 spaces to ensure everyone gets plenty of opportunity for 121 support throughout.

Who is this for?

This workshop is specifically designed for women in business and is particularly useful (though not exclusively) for those running their own businesses, be it a product or service based business. The amount of time you’ve been in business makes no difference, be it well established or just starting up.

I am a strong believer that everyone is creative but you don’t need to deem yourself ‘a creative person’ to benefit from the day. Equally, you do not need photography experience though participants will need a smartphone with camera built-in or a digital camera, and a basic knowledge of how to use it (even if that simply means you know what button to press!)
