What do I need?

Honestly, if you have pen & paper and an internet connection you’re all set. You might want to invest in a new journal or scrapbook but it’s not a necessity (who am I kidding, new stationary is ALWAYS a necessity!) All of the daily challenges use tools that should be readily available in most households such as a glue stick, scissors and the obligatory warm brew while you soak up each email.

Do I need to be ‘creative’ to take part?

You already are! There is creativity in every single one of us but we’ve been trained to believe that ‘creative’ means being good at art, or being a wizard with words. Creativity can be found and expressed in so many ways so whether you think you’re creative or not, you are sure to uncover more of it through the 21 days. I’d also like to stress that age doesn’t matter either, so if you’ve a young daughter, or a great grandmother, who’d like to get involved be sure to share your challenges with them.

How is the course delivered?

Every day, for 21 days, you’ll be emailed your creative exercise to complete. The email arrives early each morning so you can choose to do your daily task before the rest of the day kicks in, savour it over lunch or even do it each night before bed.

Why do this course with me?

As a child I was hugely creative … dancing, creating art and writing stories … but as I began to grow into an adult I developed a belief that being ‘creative’ wasn’t enough and it certainly wasn’t something to base a career around. So I ignored that side of me completely, relentlessly chased one promotion after another until I burnt out. Uncovering my creativity again, through writing, photography, and other methods, is what gave me back my joy, and launched me into a brand new career as a photographer, at which I’ve enjoyed far greater success, happiness and freedom than in my previous non-creative life. Believing in and growing my creativity has not only improved my life for the better externally, but has given me a much greater connection to something bigger. Call it spirituality if you like, creativity has meant I feel more aligned, awakened and connected than ever before. It’s a practice I invest in daily and I want to share that magic far and wide.
